Today, we'd like to tell you about a historical treasure very close to the Flower campsite Les Granges: the Château de Langeais.
Château de Langeais is a magnificent medieval castle, located just a few kilometres from our campsite. Built in the 15th century, it is famous for its impressive architecture and its key role in the history of France. This castle was the scene of many significant events, notably the marriage of Charles VIII and Anne of Brittany, a crucial moment that marked the union of the two duchies.
When visiting the castle, you can explore its richly decorated rooms, its enchanting gardens, and even its impressive fortress. Don't miss discovering the drawbridge and the moats, which add to the charm of this historic site. Furthermore, activities and guided tours are often offered, making the experience even more immersive and captivating.

On Sunday mornings, don't miss a visit to the large traditional market held at the foot of the castle. It's the perfect opportunity to discover local products, sample regional specialities, and meet passionate artisans. The atmosphere is friendly and lively, and you'll find fresh fruit and vegetables, cheeses, artisan breads, and many other delights.
Finally, the shopping street in Langeais is a charming place to wander. You'll find small boutiques, welcoming cafés, and restaurants where you can savour typical regional dishes. It's the ideal place to do some souvenir shopping or simply enjoy a moment of relaxation.
