Flower camping Les Granges is ideally located in the Indre et Loire department to discover the valley of a mythical river lined with its countless castles.
With its unobstructed view of the magnificent Château still belonging to the Duke of LUYNES which dominates it, as well as a priory from the same period (12th century), the campsite welcomes you at the foot of the village classified as a “small town of character”.

Located very close to the city of Tours, Flower camping Les Granges is ideally situated so that you can easily access the castles of Langeais, Villandry and Azay-le-Rideau , all of which are located less than twenty-five minutes from the campsite.

 

Curious to share experiences with the family, you can also enjoy a picnic in the gardens of the nearby Château de l’Islette, where you can also watch a night show.
Children will enjoy following the story of Sleeping Beauty at the Château d’Ussé and marvel at the miniature castles of the Most Majestic Castles of the Loire at the Parc des Mini-châteaux.
If you drive a little further you can also enjoy the wonders of the châteaux of Amboise, Chenonceau, or Chaumont sur Loire.

 

After the visit of the castle of Chinon, you will extend your road to the abbey of Fontevraud to discover more than 900 years of history.

  • Villandry Castle
    Villandry Castle is a Renaissance castle dating from the time of King Louis XV (15th century) listed as a historical monument and an integral part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. What makes it special are its beautiful French gardens that combine aesthetics, diversity and harmony.
  • Langeais Castle
    Initially what was a simple dungeon was transformed in 1465 into a real medieval castle during the reign of Louis XI. Classified as a historic monument in 1922, this castle is only 20 minutes from the campsite.

  • Azay-le-Rideau Castle
    The castle of Azay-le-Rideau is located on an island in the middle of indre, a tributary river of the Loire: which makes it its peculiarity and charm.
    Completed in 1523 under the patronage of François I, it combines French tradition with innovative decorations from Italy. It also has a beautiful landscaped park.
    Take the opportunity to visit the Maurice Dufresne Museum located in the city to go back in time to discover a collection of all kinds of unusual objects from the 1850s to the 1950s.
  • Amboise Castles
    It was the palace of kings Charles VIII and Francis I in the Renaissance and the burial place of the renowned Painter, Sculptor, Architect and Italian scientist, the famous Leonardo da Vinci.
    The Château d’Amboise is a representation of luxury and the French way of life. You can also admire 360 degrees from its balconies the landscapes of the Loire Valley inscribed as a World Heritage Site.
